MEET CATHERINE

My passion for painting comes from a desire to transform a physical space and inspire the viewer to enjoy a vibrant, playful lifestyle.
I spent much of my life on the coast of Virginia and in the Outer Banks, where I established a solid love affair with the water. I then moved to Tennessee, where I earned a Bachelor's in Art at Sewanee: The University of the South and spent years in Nashville post-graduation.
During my stay in Tennessee, my creations consistently reflected my memories of the Atlantic landscape. My home in the Mid-South was filled with fond imagery of the East Coast. Here, I realized the power my creations had to transport me from Appalachia to the coast where I longed to be.
I have since landed in Mt. Pleasant with my fiance, Thomas, and yellow lab, Rivers. Now, I can finally find my happy place both inside my home with my paintings and outside my doorstep in the low country. I am feeling more inspired than ever by the shapes and colors of the coast and hope to bring a taste of this vibrant lifestyle, wherever my paintings may end up.
